Brenda Glawe - Piano Lessons; Music Lessons

Crossville Piano Teacher Ivory Music Studio is owned and operated by Brenda Glawe, a graduate of Illinois State University with a major in Music and Music Therapy. Brenda has been playing for and been involved with countless church, school, community, and private-based functions for 45+ years. She has developed and directed Music Ministry Church programs including playing for services, weddings, and funerals while creating and directing handbell, children, adult, and Praise Team choirs. She previously was connected to various schools as their accompanist for concerts, choirs, musicals, and solo or ensemble contests. Brenda has directed several musicals on her own and accompanied school choirs in and out of the USA. She routinely is hired to play for vocal teachers, benefits, concerts, fundraisers, and holiday or private parties.

Brenda's interaction with musicians of all ages and skill levels has allowed her to develop a unique teaching style which addresses each student's specific need. She engages her students in an awareness of music in themselves and their community by encouraging them to attend music venues (either on their own or accompanied by Brenda) and to become involved in their own community's (school, church, etc.) musical opportunities. Former students of Ivory Music Studio have gone on to train others in music, to become band leaders, and to perform professionally. Brenda is a firm believer that music promotes wellness, confidence, and intellectual skills.
